What every board and train includes
- Your dog boards with one of our professional trainers for the whole program.
- The one-week and two-week programs include an e-collar, a 15-foot leash, a training video and a manual; the 10-day puppy program includes its training tools.
- A one-on-one session at pickup on the one-week (2 hours) and two-week (2 to 3 hours) programs.
- Lifetime refresher lessons with the two-week program and the Puppy to Adult package.
- A house training and crate schedule for home with the 10-day puppy program.
Frequently misunderstood facts
- Board and train and private lessons are different. In board and train, your dog stays and trains at our trainer's home. In private lessons, you and your dog train together with a trainer.
- The one-week Freedom program is on leash. Off-leash work is part of the two-week board and train and the Puppy to Adult package, not the one-week program.
- Refresher lessons have limits. The two-week program's lifetime refresher lessons cover its seven core commands, not off-leash commands, and can be used at any Off Leash K9 Training location in the US if you move. The one-week program has no refresher lessons.
- E-collar training starts at six months. Younger puppies can start with the 10-day puppy board and train from 12 weeks, or a puppy consultation.
- House training is helped, not promised. With the puppy program we set up a house training and crate schedule for home, but we do not promise house training results.
- Major behavior issues are managed, not erased. Training gives you much better control and support with anxiety and dog or people aggression, but no trainer can promise a complete fix.
- Packages are paid before training is scheduled. Once payment is received, we contact you to schedule your training.
- There is no public address. We are a service-area business. Call us before planning a visit.
What Off Leash K9 Training of Columbia MO is not
- Not a quick fix. Programs run from four private lessons to two weeks of board and train, followed by practice at home.
- Not punishment-based training. The e-collar gets your dog's attention like a tap on the shoulder; it is never used to scare a dog into submission.
- Not a storefront business. We serve customers across Mid-Missouri without a public address.
- Not the same business as other Off Leash K9 Training locations. This page covers the Columbia, Missouri location only.
